Hoisting License Prep Course 2A/1C

This course is intended for people that are not currently licensed and are interested in taking the Massachusetts Hoisting License Exam to obtain a Hoisting License for both 2A and 1C Restrictions. 

 Hoisting License: Restriction 2A Equipment:

  • Excavators
  • Backhoes
  • Loaders
  • Skid-Steers

 Hoisting License: Restriction 1C Equipment:

  • Telescoping Boom w/o Cables
  • Operation of Equipment listed under 2A with a Fork Attachment

Course Info:

Why Prepare with NSTC?:  Our students have over a 99% pass rate on the state exam in all restrictions! This course has no scheduled end time, avarage course length is 6 hours. The instructor will continue until all students are comfortable with the information required to pass the state exam. 

  • The application process will be reviewed. The instructor will explain how to apply to sit for two examinations on the same date, which can be a confusing process. 
  • Please keep in mind to apply for a Hoisting License Exam date a DOT Physical Card must be submitted with the application.
  • You will be provided with a book to take home to study from. 
  • You are also invited to come to a scheduled Continuing Education course as a review session prior to your exam date.
